Dubois County, IN: Lieutenant Governor Sue Ellspermann joined Peter Ariens, President of Stens Corporation with other executives at 10 a.m. this morning for a ribbon cutting ceremony at its expanded headquarters in Jasper, Indiana.
FairWinds Advisors was pleased to be able to support the company in December 2011 with their plans for expansion and negotiation for economic development incentives. The company, a global supplier of replacement parts for the outdoor power equipment industry, announced plans to invest $2.28 million to purchase, renovate and equip a 208,400 square-foot facility in southwest Indiana, adding up to 98 new jobs by 2015.
Stens, which currently employs approximately 200 associates in Jasper and 275 across the country, completed its move into the new facility in July. Since Stens was founded in 1970, it has grown from an operation run out of a one-room Indiana garage to a global company with distribution centers in seven states and four countries.
