Troy, MI: Emhart Teknologies is a subsidiary of Stanley Black & Decker, specializing in power and hand tools and products and services for various industrial applications. The company plans to construct a 30,000 square foot expansion of its manufacturing operations in Chesterfield Township as well as an expansion of its office operation in Troy, MI. Expected to generate more than $32.8 million and create 83 jobs, the Michigan Strategic Fund, in cooperation with the Michigan Business Development Program has approved a $350,000 performance-based grant to aid the company’s expected expansion. Additionally, Chesterfield Township will support the program through a property tax abatement.
