Fortville, IN:  This month marks the one-year anniversary of the expansion of our facility that added nearly 27,000 square feet and included two additional Class 7 medical clean rooms. All that additional space has helped Genesis Plastics Welding accomplish some pretty awesome things in 2013.

We have made numerous references to this expansion allowing us to serve new customers, but the expanded space has also allowed us to better serve existing clients. The result of that “better service” has been customer retention – including two new contracts with significant medical device manufacturers who are existing customers. Both of those contracts reflect three-year commitments.Any entrepreneur or CEO knows that existing, happy clients are the corner stone of a successful business. They are the foundation on which the business grows and prospers. Aside from that, these significant client commitments are a strong indicator that Genesis Plastics Welding is living up to its mission statement: “We are committed to serving as authentic champions of success … our purpose is to help our customers achieve and exceed their business goals by providing collaborative guidance, expert technical services and high-quality products.”

Reflecting back over the last year – and the last 26 years – we have a lot of folks who have contributed to making Genesis Plastics Welding what it is today, starting with my father-in-law Robert Smith who launched the technology of this company. Our customers, many of whom have been with us for years and have grown with us, have certainly contributed to the successes we have seen. Certainly, those who were part the expansion project itself were instrumental in our successes of late including Dixon Construction, Chase bank and Jenny Massey, President and COO of FairWinds Advisors who greatly assisted us in the successful efforts to attain performance based tax credits from the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC).

Collaboratively, we have grown and will continue to grow. We will always strive to be the kind of company that not only seeks new opportunities, but has the sense and forethought to not forget about current customers. There’s a lot to be said for that old idiom, “Dance with the one who brung ya.’”  And we are very happy to be continuing this dance with some of our oldest and best customers.
